DON'T PAY FOR MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS TO MUSIC BINGO

People most often say “I don’t want to pay for a monthly subscription.”

They think if they can find a free and easy DIY solution and simply be ABLE to run games of music bingo, then their needs are met.

Let’s look at this feedback from a Hitmix Bingo user, and see if this is “efficient and professional”...

This user had to:

  1. Manage their own music library

  2. Run mp3s through a program

  3. Set up and run script for overlay

  4. Create PDF cards

  5. Print and handout PDF cards

  6. Collect and verify winners on the paper cards

    1. Repeat the process each round

  7. Repeat 3-5 every game.

And… the software only did a “half decent job” of running the game.

I don’t know about you, but this does NOT feel very efficient to me.

And what about being PROFESSIONAL?

Which card do you think looks more professional?

Also, professionals know that DESIGN MATTERS. These white sheet PDFs are as generic as you can get.

What about the distribution and collection of player cards?

Is handing out sheets of paper like you’re in an elementary school class as professional as you can be?
That sounds like a clunky and dated process. How are the winners being verified? How are you collecting their info? Do you make everyone wait while you check the winning card like a teacher grading a paper? Or should you keep the game rolling?

And all of this is just about the Player’s cards…

So much efficiency is lost with paper music bingo cards that it could make you look UNprofessional. You lose the ability to check on the status of the game (anyone coming close to winning?) and all of the opportunities at the end of the game such as: players leaving you tips or reviews and connecting to your brand via social media or your own website.

Don't rely on end-game announcements, get them with the tool that is in their hand.

Having the game and player card in the players’ hands allows so much more opportunity for you to capitalize on your event while being as efficient and professional as possible.

THE COST AND BENEFITS OF A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

Okay, that sounds like a lot of hands on work with the paper and all, and sure I’m losing SOME efficiency, but the cost of a recurring subscription could creep up on me. How do I know the value I’m getting and that I won’t be surprised with added costs?

What is your time worth to you?

Jindo is $30 per month and you can cancel anytime.

If you don’t value your time, aren’t charging enough for your services, or are unable to consistently book shows; then this hands-on cumbersome approach might be right for you.

If you DO value your time, then try both options. See how much of your time is spent with set up and paper management.

If you spend more than ONE HOUR A MONTH setting up your games of music bingo…

Jindo can save you money.

If you make more than $30 A MONTH running games of music bingo…

Jindo made you a profit.

DON’T BE A “TOO BUSY BOBBY”

Bobby hates subscription services. He thinks he's' gonna get locked in with someone he doesn’t use much and will just be throwing money down the drain. He doesn’t understand that time IS money. He’d rather be hands-on, run his own games from scratch, and manage it all independently. The piles of paper player cards, creating the cards, and running around collecting and handing things out during the game keep him busy. Being busy and having lots of stuff is what’s important. Although he spends 3 hrs a week to prep for the 3 shows he makes $300 on, he just can’t see the value in having an additional 15 hrs a month to improve his show, his performance, and grow his business. He stays busy. He’s got a system! This is good enough.

DON’T PAY FOR MUSIC BINGO SUBSCRIPTIONS! Stay busy! Keep it old school!
